Welcome to the Venezuela Marka Foundation!

At Venezuela Marka Foundation, we believe in the power of dance as a universal language that transcends borders and brings people together. With more than 62 annual dance festivals in the USA and over 100 festivals in the rest of the world, there is a vibrant tapestry of cultures waiting to be explored through the art of dance. Our mission is clear: to promote and publicize Venezuelan folkloric dances as a means of cultural expression, and to use the language of dance to foster comprehensive education and understanding among young people from all corners of the globe.

Dance is more than just movement; it's a vehicle for learning about the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions that make our world so diverse and fascinating. Through the rhythms and movements of Venezuelan folkloric dances, we aim to ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and encourage respect for the traditions of others. Our foundation serves as a bridge, connecting young people from different countries and nationalities, enabling them to discover the beauty and depth of Venezuelan culture while sharing their own.

However, taking our young participants to these international festivals is no small feat. It's a complex and expensive endeavor that requires support from individuals and organizations who share our passion for cultural exchange and education. This is where you come in.

Your generous donations make it possible for us to cover the costs associated with participating in these festivals. Your support directly contributes to the cultural enrichment and education of young people, fostering a deeper understanding of the world and its many traditions. Together, we can empower the next generation with the knowledge and appreciation of cultural diversity through the universal language of dance.

Join us in our mission to promote cultural expression, facilitate cross-cultural understanding, and provide opportunities for young people to explore the world through dance. Your contribution matters, and every donation brings us one step closer to achieving our vision.

Thank you for your support, and together, let's dance towards a more culturally enriched and interconnected world.

Under the dedicated leadership of Katherine Durand, the Artistic Director, the Venezuela Marka Foundation offers community-enriching dance programs. These programs have been structured thoughtfully, keeping in mind the financial constraints many families might face. As such, they're offered at a minimal cost to parents, making them widely accessible and affordable.

A cornerstone of our commitment to fostering cultural expression and unity is ensuring that economic barriers do not hinder participation. To this end, the foundation relies on sponsorship and funding gathered through generous donations. This support goes directly into the crucial aspects of running the dance programs, including costume creation and event logistics. This way, the vibrant traditional Venezuelan dance forms can be fully experienced in their authentic glory.

Moreover, recognizing the hard work and talent of our students, we offer a scholarship program for those who go above and beyond. This initiative not only rewards dedication and exceptional talent but also encourages students to immerse themselves in the art form, to explore their cultural heritage more deeply, and to continue to develop their skills.

In this way, the Venezuela Marka Foundation's dance programs do more than just teach dance—they foster cultural pride, community engagement, and personal growth among our students. They stand as a testament to our enduring commitment to preserve and celebrate the remarkable legacy of Venezuelan culture.
