Dance school
With more than 14 years of training in contemporary dance, ballet, flamenco, urban rhythms, and traditional Venezuelan dances, Katherine Durant directs and leads the Foundation Venezuela Marka Dance Group, training young people in order to preserve the cultural traditions of Venezuela around the world.
Our dance school is located in Jacksonville, Florida and we currently have a group of young people that we train and with whom we have already participated in numerous festivals in different locations in the State of Florida.
KATHERINE DURAND
Venezuelan, 23 years old, born in Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar State, Venezuela. There, she completed her primary and secondary education. She is a professional dancer, specializing in contemporary, ballet, flamenco, and urban rhythms. She trained for 14 years at the "Danzas Yacambu" foundation located in Bolivar State, Venezuela, representing her country at various international festivals held in Morocco, Turkey, Albania, USA and Taiwan. She is currently a dance teacher.
As a continually developing professional model, she has excelled on runways in Venezuela and was crowned Miss Tourism Bolivar and the second finalist of Miss Tourism Venezuela 2016. She is continuing her training in the city of Jacksonville, Florida.
Currently, she is a host on "Tu 18 Jax TV," a local Hispanic channel in Jacksonville. She is also an independent model and the Artistic Director and Principal Instructor at the Venezuela Marka Foundation, teaching the theory and practice of Nationalist Dances and Flamenco.
