Danzas Yacambú Executive Director Ivan Valderrama Joins Venezuela Marka in Jacksonville

Venezuela Marka, INC, a 501c3 organization committed to promoting and preserving Venezuelan culture, is proud to announce a special collaboration with renowned Venezuelan dancer, choreographer, Licensed Director of the Bolivar State Folkloric Foundation, and Executive Director of Danzas Yacambu Foundation, Professor Ivan David Valderrama Hernandez.

Professor Valderrama Hernandez will impart a courtesy course to the Venezuela Marka Foundation Dance Group in Jacksonville, FL, taking place on August 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31, as well as September 5, 6, and 7 of 2023. This unique opportunity will provide a valuable learning experience for the dance group to enhance their technique, improve their performances, and gain a deeper appreciation for Venezuelan folklore dancing.


In addition to sharing his vast expertise in Venezuelan folkloric dance, Professor Valderrama Hernandez has generously donated 36 costumes on behalf of Danzas Folklorica Yacambu. These costumes will be used in performances of joropo, parranda, and tambores during the Hispanic Heritage Month events in the Jacksonville community. These stunning costumes will enhance the visual aspect of the performances and contribute to the promotion of Venezuelan cultural heritage.


Professor Valderrama Hernandez's visit will enrich the Venezuela Marka Foundation Dance Group's understanding and execution of traditional Venezuelan dances and contribute to the promotion of Venezuelan culture in Jacksonville.
